Growth is not a mindset,
It is never done alone,
Shame exacerbates regret,
But the Father welcomes us home.
We try to go from old to new,
But veil truth in a lie,
Our worst desires we pursue,
Then fear what comes when we fade into the sky.
We trailblaze forward through paths of old,
Blood covers every sin,
We cling to myths and boast as bold
And blindly ignore the cycle in which we spin.
But God gives grace to make us new, an eternal life we do not deserve.
He first loved us and shed His blood, may we all cling to His word.
